Directions
One thing to consider is that Goosebumps can only be accessed through other trails; there is no direct trailhead. To ride Goosebumps, the easiest place to start is at the upper JEM Trailhead off of Highway 59, taking the oneway JEM Trail North about a mile and a half until you reach a junction. There you’ll have the option of continuing on the JEM Trail, taking Dead Ringer, or taking Goosebumps. While on Goosebumps, about midtrail, you’ll also have the option of taking Cryptobionic. Lots of options for loops here!
Description
Known as a “roller coaster” of a ride, Goosebumps hugs the lower slopes of Gooseberry Mesa and offers a rolling, and winding singletrack through the desert. Expect to find a great flow as the trail crosses multiple drainages. This is a great trail everyone can enjoy, several times splitting into “A-line” and “B-Line” sections. You advanced riders will enjoy the A-Line trails with steeper descents, jumps, and more difficult terrain, and you B-Line riders will appreciate the gentler slopes. Each is well-marked.
Not just for bikers, this is also a trail the hikers and trail runners will enjoy, along with the rest of the Hurricane Cliff trails.
