Description
Called an “Oasis in the desert,” get ready to leave the city behind and explore a series of trails following a beautiful stream and beautiful scenery. One of Zion’s easiest trails, suitable for all ages, you and the family will love the hike to Emerald Pools! A round trip that’s less than mile, you’ll enjoy the flat dirt paths and the kids will look forward to being surrounded by a paradise of green and finding the waterfall. For the best waterfalls with heavier waterflow, be sure to visit during the spring run-off.
Nice year-round, the Lower Emerald Pools are recommended for a quick and easy family hike, or for tourists wanting an easy introduction to Zion’s National Park, especially in the morning before it gets too hot. As the trail is close to the Historic Zion Lodge, don’t be surprised if you’re not the only ones on the trail! This has become a popular visiting spot for tourists and locals alike.
