Directions
To access the trail, park at the Highway 59 JEM trailhead and turn down the Dead Ringer trail. Then, at the fork in the trail, you’ll find More Cowbell to the right.
Description
A new trail in Hurricane Cliffs Trails system, More Cowbell is specifically designed for bikers. This is an easy trail to test your kids out on or to warm up with, plus it’s fun and flowy and you’re surrounded by beautiful vistas in every direction.
Remember that More Cowbell is a mostly flat singletrack trail that gets plenty of sun and can get really hot, so be sure to bring plenty of water. For a more challenging ride, you can connect to the JEM trail or Dead Ringer immediately after finishing this one.
Some call that combined ride the “White Ledge Loop” because you pass over the white ledge of Virgin Limestone, for a ride about 3 ½ miles long. Also, it’s good to note that the soft clay you ride on can easily be damaged if you ride on it while wet or if you take a bike trailer. The trail is meant to be ridden when it’s dry, and is just for single bikes.
