Description
An easy trail that connects you to the Grotto Picnic area from the Zion Lodge, you get a small appetizer of Zion’s splendor, with some beautiful views of the canyon in the distance. Some turn the small trail into a full loop by starting at the picnic area headed to the Lodge, then crossing the river to visit the Emerald Pools and finally, taking Kayenta back to the picnic area. There you’ll also have access to trails leading to Angel’s Landing, the West Rim, Lady Mountain, and more. The Grotto Trail is so short, it’s almost as quick as taking the shuttle from the Lodge. Note that the Grotto Picnic area is the 6th shuttle stop, and the Lodge is the 5th.
