From Interstate 15, take exit 16 east on Highway 9 for 20 miles until you reach Kolob Terrace Road. This is the starting point of your route.
The crown jewel of Greater Zion, biking up to the main canyon of Zion National Park is a phenomenal experience that can’t be beat. As you slowly ascend to the mouth of the canyon, you will see increasingly incredible landscape. The towers of rock get bigger and bigger until you finally enter the canyon at Canyon Junction in the park. From there, it will be tough to not stare up at the canyon walls and drink in the scenery. For most of the year, only shuttles are allowed to drive in the main canyon, so you don’t have to compete with much traffic as you enjoy the beauty of Zion National Park.
